Winter Travel: An Introduction to a Week on Snow Vacation Destinations
As the leaves start changing into their magnificent Fall colors, and temperatures drop an alarming number of degrees, the thoughts of snow babies (those who adore winter and its associated outdoor activities) turn towards winter vacation plans.
This week Travel the World will visit a number of different destinations around the world where the snow is more or less guaranteed and ski-ing, snowboarding, and even horse and sleigh rides are the order of the day. Whether you’re looking for a vacation in the US, or perhaps considering a trip overseas to one of Europe’s winter playgrounds, you’ll find a few articles that will show you some of the possibilities available.
Tomorrow’s article starts with Vail, one of Colorado’s most beautiful ski resorts, then we move across the border into Canada and more specifically, Whistler – home of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. After that it’s across the Atlantic to see what’s happening in the Alps and Nordic regions.
If there’s a destination you’d really like to know more about, leave a comment and I’ll see what I can find out for you.
